FARM WEDDING VENUE NEAR SHOREWOOD, WI
From the Lakeshore to the Countryside
Shorewood sits right on the edge of something beautiful: Lake Michigan to the east, Milwaukee's energy just minutes away, and a community that values quality, character, and experiences worth having. It's the kind of place where standards are high, and expectations are thoughtful.
So when it comes to choosing a wedding venue, settling for ordinary simply isn't an option.
Farm 1849 is where Shorewood couples come when they want a celebration that matches those standards and then exceeds them. Located in Glenbeulah, Wisconsin, just over an hour northwest of Shorewood, our 60-acre property offers seven distinct venues, a restored six-bedroom farmhouse, and a level of personal hospitality that begins the moment you reach out.
As the only farm venue near Shorewood that combines professional event infrastructure with the genuine warmth of a private countryside estate, Farm 1849 is a historic landmark building rooted in rustic elegance and natural beauty, and worth every mile of the drive.
Where Farm 1849 Began
In 2019, Kristen and Trevor Pachis set out looking for something they couldn't quite name, a place that felt unhurried, grounded, and generous enough to share with the people they loved most.
They found it on a hillside in Glenbeulah.
Sixty acres of open countryside. A historic red barn that had stood since the 1800s. Rolling hills that stretched toward the horizon in every direction. And a stillness that felt, somehow, like an invitation.
What followed was five years of careful, committed restoration work. Kristen brought her professional expertise in wedding planning and design alongside nearly two decades of building client relationships centered on care and attentiveness. Trevor brought the discipline of a seasoned business owner and the hands-on commitment of someone who takes craftsmanship seriously. Together, through a global pandemic and all the uncertainty it carried, they shaped this property into what it is today: a hidden gem in the Wisconsin countryside that feels like a perfect place for life's most meaningful celebrations.
Farm 1849 is a professionally managed, privately owned wedding venue built by two people who genuinely love what they've created and care deeply about every event held here.
For couples searching for a farmhouse rental near Shorewood that offers more than just a beautiful space, this is where genuine hospitality lives.

The Farmhouse: Where the Weekend Opens Up
There is a version of a wedding weekend that most venues simply cannot offer, and the Farm 1849 farmhouse makes it possible.
Built in the mid-1800s and carefully restored with both comfort and character in mind, the farmhouse sleeps up to 12 guests across six well-appointed bedrooms. Every detail has been considered: a fireplace for cool evenings, a soaking tub for quiet moments, a game room for easy laughter, and a private hot tub overlooking miles of Wisconsin countryside. An outdoor fire pit gathers everyone naturally as Friday evening winds down after the rehearsal dinner.
Saturday is the celebration. Sunday belongs to a slow morning, a post-wedding brunch, and the kind of conversation that only happens when a weekend has gone exactly right.
For Shorewood couples accustomed to quality and attentive to experience, the farmhouse is not simply an add-on. It is the piece that transforms a wedding day into a full weekend that family and friends will gather around for years to come.
